steal this cookie

you may find yourself asking
"what happened to the large platter of fresh cookies that was just here..."


11.5 oz chocholate chips
20 oz package of dried cherries
(or cherry craisins)
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. softened butter
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 c. flour

*preheat oven to 350*
melt 3/4 of bag of choc chips in microwave safe bowl
(approx 2 minutes)
add brown sugar, butter and eggs; allow to cool

stir in flour until smooth

fold in remaining choc chips and dried cherries

form into cookies on greased cookie sheet

bake it for 12 minutes....yum

special credit to my sister, Kelly who had to decipher this recipe for us. It was printed on a bright yellow plastic packet with neon lettering the size-of-a-flea. the packet was crumpled and torn and the ink was misaligned. She had to really work at it, y'all.
