Tough Times: make yer own dry rub

1/2 cup paprika
3 tablespoons cayenne pepper
5 tablespoons ground black pepper
5 tablespoons garlic powder
3 tablespoons onion powder
5 tablespoons salt
2 tablespoons dried oregano
2 tablespoons dried thyme

Dry rubs can be applied to meats prior to cooking to enhance the flavors and mix with the juices for some savory meals! You can save money by developing your own rub mixture, instead of purchasing the ready-made containers at the supermarket.
