hurry up and stop

It's only 11.6 miles from my house to work.  On the same road, no turns. Takes about 25 minutes...wait. what?  Yup, it takes more than 20 minutes because there are 6 different speed limits posted in that 11 mile stretch!
driving LIKE A SIR

If you count the school zone, it's actually 7

I can drive this route on auto-pilot, but must pay close attention to the speed signs.  Ranges from 55 to 15 - and the scenery is beautifully distracting

Then there's the traffic lights: 12 of them
So even if I was lucky enough to build up speed, I'd surely be caught by a light.

I would never complain. Just making an observation:)

Is my cat Norwegian?

I recently caught a glimpse of a Norwegian Forest cat on TV and was surprised how much it resembles my humble house cat, Domino. The fierce mane. The long bushy tail. The tufts of Fur in the ears and Paws. The fluffy coat.

I may be onto something here.

I checked out as much of the breed standards as I could decipher from the descriptions. And it seems to check out.

"The Norwegian Forest Cat is a breed of domestic cat native to Northern Europe. This natural breed is adapted to a very cold climate, with top coat of glossy, long, water-shedding hairs, and a woolly undercoat for insulation. Wikipedia"

Found some great information on the Norwegian Forest Cat Fanciers Association website.

Strange that we would acquire such a distinctive breed from a random guy handing out kittens from a cardboard box in a parking lot.

other images with indoor setting are of Domino (aka Bubba). Do you think we have a feline descended from the Great Kingdom of Norway?

Thou Art Gorbellied Shard-Borne Minnow

Oh! the art of the insult. One can hurl barbs all day with the proper vocabulary. Time to build a sophisticated repertoire that will befuddle and glower those mottled fowl-greased ninnies not to mention the ruttish tardy-gated coxpoles.

photos that didn't make the blog in 2012

I take random photos with the downright determined intention to post a blog article.  Sometimes it just doesn't pan out and we're left with a pile of lint.  Let's collect up those orphans and give them about 15 seconds of fame.
